Why Automax

Less layout work. Fewer printing mistakes.

Automax takes over the repeated work between the order sheet and the printer, so your team spends the day on design and production, not on placing pieces.

Hours back on every order

Instead of copying, sizing and placing every piece by hand, you load the order and press Start.

Mistakes caught early

A red cell shows a size that is missing from your chart before you start. Every piece carries a tag, so the cutter knows what is what.

Know your fabric use

Each nest file has its length in the name, so you see at a glance how much roll goes to the printer.

Right inside Illustrator

No export to another program. Your design file and your size charts stay yours.

Windows and Mac

Use it on whichever computers your shop has. Installing takes a few minutes with a step-by-step guide in English and বাংলা.

Made for local print shops

Messy order lists are fine: paste from Sheets or Excel, upload a CSV, or let AI Input tidy the text. Help is a message away.

What it does

Everything between the order sheet and the printer

You keep your own design file and your own size charts. Automax does the repeated work around them.

Nesting

Nests the whole order onto your roll

Set the roll width, the gap and the maximum file length. Choose how tight you want the layout with three modes.

Names and tags

Names, numbers, part tags

Name and number are filled in. Every piece gets a tag:

Order

Three ways to load it

Paste from Google Sheets or Excel, upload a CSV, or paste a messy list into AI Input.

Clients

Size charts for every client

Keep one set of size charts per client and change them any time.

Parts

All the parts of a kit

Body, sleeves, placket, collar, ribs, shorts, trouser and pocket.

Formats

EPS, AI, TIFF and IMG

Tick the formats you need and set the DPI. Files are saved in your invoice folder.

Extra light

Lighter files when you need them

An optional mode for heavy artwork, at 150 or 300 dpi. Your main file is not changed.

Comments

Special jerseys stay open for you

A row with a comment, a colour change for example, is kept aside and left open in Illustrator for you to edit before it is saved.

Languages

Manual in English and বাংলা

The user manual and the terms are inside the panel, in both languages.

Your pattern

Works with your own pattern file

Give each part of your design its name: FRONT, BACK, sleeves, collar and so on. Automax picks up the parts you tick and leaves the rest alone.

Pieces from a sample pattern file.

The panel

One panel, inside Illustrator

No file shuffling between programs. The settings you already know are on one screen.

  • Roll size and gap. Width and height in inches or millimetres, and the space between pieces.
  • Top type. Regular, Raglan, Tracksuit or Drop shoulder, with your own size chart for each client.
  • Parts on or off. Click a part to include it or leave it out.
  • Live progress. A log under the Start button shows what is happening while Illustrator works.
How it works

From design file to nest files in four steps

  1. Mark the parts

Open your main design. In the Selection tab, pick a part and click its name: FRONT, BACK, sleeves and so on.

  2. Load the order

Paste from Google Sheets or Excel, upload a CSV, or use AI Input for a messy list. Fix the red cells.

  3. Set the roll and press Start

Invoice number, output folder, roll size, gap, size chart, mode and formats. The log shows the progress.

  4. Collect the files

The nest files are saved in your invoice folder, ready for the printer. Look at every file before you print.

If something goes wrong on Windows
  • Antivirus or Windows Defender blocked or removed the file: choose Allow or Restore, then double-click it again. It is only an install script.
  • The window says INSTALL FAILED: take a photo or screenshot of it and send it to us.
  • No Automax in the menu: close Illustrator fully (use Task Manager if needed), open it again, and check Window > Extensions (Legacy).

FAQ

Questions shops ask first

Which Illustrator and which computers?

Adobe Illustrator 2019 (version 23) and newer, on Windows and on Mac. Automax installs as a panel and opens from Window > Extensions (shown as Extensions (Legacy) in newer versions).

How do I install it?

Download the installer for Windows or Mac from the Install section above and follow the steps. It takes a few minutes. There is also a step-by-step guide in বাংলা.

How do I get started?

Choose a plan and send us a message. We create your ID and password and help you with the first install if you need it.

Do I need the internet?

Yes, to log in and when you press Start, because the panel checks your plan. The login is remembered on your computer for 24 hours, so the panel opens at once.

What if a production fails?

Rows used by a production that fails are given back to your plan.

Where does my data go?

Your size charts and the last 3 days of history stay on your own computer. If you use AI Input, the text you paste goes through our server to an AI service to become a table. For some plans we also keep a backup copy of the main design for support.

Do I still need to check the files?

Yes. Look at every nest file before you print. Automax is a tool: the result depends on your design, your size charts and your order data.

Can it handle my own sizes and parts?

Size charts are yours to edit, one set per client, and you can add sizes. Body, sleeves, placket, collar, ribs, shorts, trouser and pocket parts are supported. Tell us about anything unusual in your design before you buy.
